Military: Enlisted
in the 16th U.S. Infantry Regiment, Company B, on September
29, 1890. Discharged on October 14, 1893. Reenlisted on
May 30, 1894, in 5th Ohio Infantry, Company G. Discharged
on June 21, 1899.

Harold
Henry Bartlett: Born on February 11, 1895. Died
in 1951. Married Inez Maud McGlothlin (born March
3, 1891) on August 19, 1927. He enlisted in the Navy in
1912 and served on the U.S.S. New Hampshire in the Mexican
Campaign. This was the only ship to see action in the
troubles with Carranza. He was discharged and then reenlisted
in July 1917. He was wounded in the Battle of the Argonne
Forest. He was discharged in April 1919. He then reenlisted
again in Company I, 21st Infantry and served in Hawaii
until his discharge in 1926.
Ethel
Irene Bartlett: Born on
November 23, 1896. Married William Shelhart. Children:
Theodore Shelhart, Larry Shelhart, and William Shelhart.
Gladys
Marguerite Bartlett: Born
on March 17, 1904. She had peritonitis (sic) (heart) and
spent 6 months in Lakeside Hospital. Married James
Hugs. Children: James Hugs, Jean Hugs, and Dale
Hugs. According to Inez
Bartlett, her husband, James Hugs, then ran off with
a nude dancer he met at a "radical" party at
Westinghouse. Gladys later married Paul Huber and moved
to North Miami Beach, Florida.
